RICHMOND HILL, GA – April 1, 2026 – The Richmond Hill City Center is proud to partner with a local Richmond Hill family to host a monthly book club dedicated to fans of the beloved fantasy series Wings of Fire. The club brings together young readers and families who share a love of the series, creating a space for creativity, discussion, and community.
The "Wings of Fire" Book Club meets the second Saturday of every month from 2–3:30 p.m. at the Richmond Hill City Center and welcomes readers of all experience levels with the series—from those just beginning the first book to fans rereading the series or enjoying the graphic novels.
Each meeting celebrates the world of dragons and adventure through interactive activities such as themed crafts, short plays inspired by the books, sharing snacks, and discussing fan theories. Members have also participated in community activities together, including a holiday gift exchange and marching in the Richmond Hill Christmas parade.
The club was started by ten-year-old Richmond Hill resident Aurora Rosell, whose idea was inspired by her love for the series and her desire to connect with other fans in the community after one of her close friends moved away.
"Community partnerships like this are exactly what the Richmond Hill City Center is all about," said April Cameron, General Manager of the Richmond Hill City Center. "When local families bring forward ideas that create opportunities for young people to connect, learn, and build friendships, we are excited to help provide the space and support to make it happen. Aurora’s initiative shows how powerful a love of reading can be in bringing people together."
The book club is open to readers ages 6 to 17, though all ages are welcome to participate. Meetings encourage creativity and collaboration, with members helping plan activities, delegate tasks, and even design the club’s logo.
Aurora’s mother, Rose Rosell, said she has been amazed by how the club has grown and how involved its members have become.
"I couldn’t be more proud of my daughter for starting this group, and the rest of the members for investing time, energy, and resources into making this club something really special," said Rosell. "There is a shared sense of ownership among all members—from planning meetings and delegating tasks to raising funds and designing the logo. Readers are leaders."
The Richmond Hill City Center and the Rosell family invite all local fans of the series to join the club. Whether someone is just starting the first book or revisiting the series for the fifth time, the group welcomes new members.
